Lead NGA's federal advocacy coordination by translating Governors' priorities into bipartisan engagement strategies. Manage relationships with Governors' state-federal representatives, oversee outside government relations consultants, cultivate Hill and Executive Branch contacts, monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity, and produce advocacy materials. Plan and execute meetings and convenings, synthesize state feedback into actionable intelligence, and advise senior leadership on timing, strategy, and logistics for high-level federal engagement.

Lead a team advising governors and state executives on workforce development, higher education, and economic policy. Develop policy principles, manage projects, budgets, staff, consultants, and grants; design proposals and fundraising strategies; convene stakeholders; provide technical guidance to governors' offices; and oversee program performance, cross-agency alignment, and events.

Support governors on public safety and criminal justice policy by providing technical assistance, organizing and facilitating events, developing policy briefs and resources, building stakeholder relationships, and delivering written and verbal guidance to state policymakers.
