Teams at National Energy System Operator (NESO)

Lead delivery of the Centralised Strategic Network Plan programme, managing project managers, governance, assurance, risks, dependencies, scope, budgets, vendors, reporting, and change control. Provide PMO leadership, develop programme standards and processes, manage data governance and security, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the Electricity Network portfolio.

Lead Regional Energy Strategic Planning capabilities, initially for Scotland and ultimately the West Midlands. Manage a small team, develop whole-system planning processes, coordinate energy infrastructure and decarbonisation priorities, engage government and local stakeholders, and deliver regional governance, planning products, investment needs, and stakeholder support. The role also contributes to GB-wide RESP methodology, systems, data development, and resolution of regional planning conflicts.

Develop technical connection policies for electricity generation and demand connections, ensuring compliance with SQSS and Grid Code requirements. The role involves collaborating with assessment teams, network owners, customers, and internal stakeholders; addressing technical queries; supporting contract and compliance managers; reviewing connection templates; and contributing to technical innovation and connections reform.
