Teams at National Energy System Operator (NESO)

Lead a team of power system engineers to design onshore and offshore transmission connections, develop probabilistic CPA methods, ensure Grid Code and SQSS compliance, liaise with customers and Transmission Owners, and drive process and capability improvements for connections engineering.

Perform power system and connections studies, produce technical appendices, support customers and stakeholders, create probabilistic Construction Planning Assumptions, ensure SQSS/Grid Code compliance, and contribute to technical initiatives enabling connections for net-zero operation.

Lead NESO's role in the Reformed National Pricing workstream: set strategic direction, deliver workstream objectives, manage budget/resources, own quality of analytical outputs, manage risks and dependencies, build senior stakeholder relationships (DESNZ, Ofgem, industry), and coordinate with modelling and internal teams to implement market reforms that support the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan.
