Teams at National Energy System Operator (NESO)

Develop and maintain probabilistic gas demand and supply forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques. Build data pipelines, automate processes, manage data quality, and analyze complex and geospatial datasets supporting gas, hydrogen, decarbonization, and whole-energy planning. Provide technical leadership, communicate insights to senior stakeholders and regulators, scope data science projects, and mentor colleagues across NESO.

Leads NESO’s enterprise tooling and automation function, defining and implementing a strategic, integrated tooling ecosystem across enterprise systems and the full SDLC. Responsibilities include tooling consolidation, DevSecOps and AI Ops enablement, vendor and license management, certificate oversight, large-scale implementation, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of change. The role manages managers and distributed teams while partnering with engineering, architecture, procurement, finance, and transformation functions.

Manage customer electricity connection projects from initiation through completion, serving as the primary customer contact. Coordinate internal teams, transmission and distribution owners, developers, and other stakeholders while managing contracts, commercial solutions, risks, disputes, regulatory compliance, and process improvements. Apply knowledge of Grid Code, CUSC, STC, BSC, and related governance frameworks to deliver timely, compliant connection services across a customer portfolio.
