Teams at Murfin Drilling Company, Inc.

Leads a three-to-five-person drilling rig crew while safely operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, setting up, and transporting rig equipment. Oversees drilling operations, draw works, well pressure assessment, mud mixing, maintenance, housekeeping, safety meetings, crew assignments, and operating reports. Requires prior Kelly Drive Rig experience, oilfield knowledge, mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and the ability to work extended shifts in safety-sensitive conditions.

Assists with rig-up and rig-down activities, repairs and maintains drilling rig components, participates in safety meetings, and performs physically demanding oilfield tasks around heavy machinery. The role requires constant alertness, safe work practices, equipment awareness, and the ability to operate in variable weather and hazardous conditions.

Supervise drilling, well completion, workover, rig moving, equipment maintenance, mud-system operations, and drilling-crew activities. Ensure compliance with client programs, company standards, regulations, safety procedures, and well-control requirements. Coordinate with client representatives, technical engineers, and crew members; lead safety meetings and drills; maintain equipment, spare parts, reporting, housekeeping, and safe working conditions on the rig site.
