Teams at Muon Space

Leads the software test infrastructure team, managing engineers who develop testing and reporting tools for cloud services, data analysis, embedded firmware, and flight-software testing. Responsibilities include team development, roadmap planning, project execution, quality metrics, organizational processes, staffing, hiring, and performance management. The role collaborates with engineering leaders and customers to build reliable testing capabilities for ground and space systems.

Develop high-performance C++ and GPU-accelerated implementations for image-processing pipelines, including bundle adjustment, orthorectification, image I/O, and reprojection. Integrate components with Python, optimize latency and throughput, benchmark reference algorithms, and collaborate with HPC specialists. Own verification, validation, CI performance regression testing, technical designs, trade studies, and interface documentation. The role is hybrid in San Jose and supports mission-critical ground and flight systems.

Design, train, evaluate, and deploy computer vision and machine learning models for ground and onboard flight systems. Build the image and ML data engineering foundation, optimize models for low-latency cloud and edge execution, develop benchmark implementations, and support cloud serving integration. Own verification, validation, unit testing, integration testing, and performance regression testing while collaborating with mission and payload teams.
