Leads and supports nursing operations in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include staffing, hiring and evaluating nursing personnel, resident care planning, MDS and documentation oversight, infection control, regulatory compliance, resource management, and collaboration with physicians and care teams. The role also provides floor coverage when needed and promotes restorative care, quality improvement, and resident safety.

Serve as on-shift clinical leader providing and overseeing resident care: supervise nurse aides, administer medications, perform treatments, transcribe physician orders, maintain accurate documentation and nursing assessments, implement care plans and safety/infection-control procedures, coordinate shift reports, educate staff, and manage staffing needs.
