Leads the mechanical startup and warranty team across active construction projects. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, training, equipment pre-commissioning, startup, functional testing, troubleshooting, documentation, turnover, warranty coordination, and process improvement. The manager coordinates with project teams, controls and electrical contractors, commissioning agents, manufacturers, vendors, and owners while ensuring safety, quality, equipment readiness, and timely closeout. The role also oversees recurring equipment failure analysis, technician performance, workload, response times, and labor utilization.

Coordinates mechanical construction project administration, onboarding, contracts, job setup, change orders, billing, permitting, reporting, forecasting, logistics, and vendor documentation. Oversees departmental workflows and serves as interim supervisor for project coordinators. Collaborates with operations, preconstruction, sales, service management, project managers, customers, and vendors while supporting compliance, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.

Designs HVAC control systems and detailed CAD drawings from project specifications, schematics, and sequence-of-operations requirements. Supports field personnel, project managers, sales teams, and installation crews with applications guidance, troubleshooting, coordination drawings, submittals, network layouts, and as-built revisions. Coordinates with engineering and product teams, obtains supplier quotations, supports process automation, and advises on equipment, codes, and customer-specific solutions.
