Supervises staff and manages daily operations for a physician practice, including scheduling, credentialing, payroll tracking, compliance monitoring, billing workflows, insurance authorizations, patient communications, supplies, cash deposits, reporting, and physician schedules. The coordinator also resolves client concerns, supports staff, participates in community outreach, and engages community physicians to generate referrals. Requires 3–5 years of experience in a multi-physician practice or healthcare setting; an associate or technical degree is preferred.

Answers and routes telephone calls, records messages, enters patient demographic and insurance information, verifies referrals and authorizations, ensures forms are complete, schedules appointments, manages records and mail, monitors supplies, and handles daily receipts, deposits, and petty cash.

Provides practical nursing care in a physician office, including patient assessments, medication and IV therapy administration, wound and ostomy care, catheterization, specimen collection, pre- and post-operative care, patient education, documentation, emergency interventions, and care-plan evaluation. Delegates assignments, supports quality-improvement activities, completes required training, and coordinates discharge and transfer planning.
