Manufacturing Engineer analyzes, designs, and improves manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, assembly methods, and production systems. The role troubleshoots process issues, validates cycle times, leads improvements, calculates labor and manufacturing costs, supports new product implementation, responds to customer concerns, coaches production personnel, and coordinates with suppliers on specifications, quality, and equipment or material purchases.

Develop and support embedded software and control systems for industrial equipment. Design control logic, algorithms, PID loops, operator interfaces, diagnostics, and integrations across electrical and hydraulic systems. Collaborate with engineering teams, simulate and debug software, validate machine performance, troubleshoot control issues, and implement corrective solutions. The role includes hands-on prototype shop and field work, equipment testing, documentation, and occasional travel.

Lead mechanical design and development projects for forestry and biomass-processing equipment from concept through completion. Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, service, suppliers, and customers; maintain and update engineering drawings for configuration control; document design changes; troubleshoot systems; identify cost-saving opportunities; and support continuous improvement. The role involves hands-on work with fabricated steel, weldments, engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electronic controls.
