Conduct transaction monitoring and blockchain investigations to identify money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activity. Review wallet screening and KYT alerts, perform open-source research, assess customer and transactional risk, document alert dispositions, and escalate suspicious activity. Prepare or support Suspicious Matter Reports while meeting compliance deadlines and service-level agreements. Collaborate with FIU leadership, regional compliance teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure AML and counter-terrorist financing requirements are met.

Serve as MoonPay UK's MLRO and SMF17 holder, owning AML/CTF and CASS frameworks, suspicious activity reporting, compliance training, regulatory engagement, audits, and FCA authorisation support. The role requires deep UK financial crime and client asset protection expertise, leadership across jurisdictions, and the ability to build practical compliance controls in a fast-growing crypto and fintech environment.

Design, build, and operate high-throughput Rust backend services for financial transactions, compliance, custody, stablecoins, and blockchain infrastructure. Own features end to end, integrate with banks, payment processors, blockchains, and compliance vendors, and improve observability, security, incident response, and API quality. Staff engineers additionally set technical direction, make cross-team architecture decisions, and mentor engineers.
