Teams at Monolithic Power Systems

Defines product strategy, analyzes markets and competitors, manages product launches, pricing, customer inquiries, promotions, advertising, and marketing collateral. Collaborates with IC design, applications engineering, sales, and communications teams while supporting customer visits and troubleshooting. Requires analog IC marketing or applications experience, power management expertise, strong communication skills, and a BSEE or equivalent. Travel may reach 30%.

Develops analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit layouts, including device placement, block implementation, signal matching, shielding, pad and ESD routing, and chip planning. Performs DRC and LVS verification, estimates die size and schedules, resolves verification issues, and independently completes chip tapeout according to company procedures.

Designs mechanical structures for high-power-density power modules using 3D and 2D CAD, tolerance analysis, material and manufacturing process selection, and mechanical simulation. Collaborates with thermal engineers to optimize thermal management, provides process guidance, and establishes mechanical design standards. Requires strong problem-solving, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
