Serve customers in Monocle’s Wanchai shop by providing knowledgeable product advice, supporting sales goals, maintaining inventory and merchandising, and completing opening and closing tasks. The role requires strong Cantonese and English communication, conversational Mandarin is preferred, weekend availability, organization, initiative, and eligibility to work in Hong Kong.

Supports editorial and print design across magazines, books, annuals, newspapers, events, and retail materials. Responsibilities include translating creative direction into layouts, applying typography and visual hierarchy, preparing production-ready artwork, reviewing proofs, managing visual assets, and meeting tight publishing deadlines. The role requires strong design fundamentals, attention to detail, collaboration, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Research, pitch, report, write, edit and fact-check original stories across print, digital, newsletters, radio and events. Manage features, interviews, photoshoots, product call-ins and City Guides from concept to publication. Build international contacts, coordinate with editorial and creative teams, manage multiple deadlines, and represent Monocle professionally. The role requires strong editorial judgement, organisation, global awareness and flexibility to travel.

Lead Monocle’s global subscriber-growth function across print and digital products. Own acquisition, retention, renewal, revenue, pricing, proposition, campaign performance and customer lifecycle improvements. Analyze data, manage paid acquisition, establish testing and reporting programs, influence editorial, marketing and digital stakeholders, and build the future subscription-growth team.

Produce and project-manage photography and video shoots for Monocle’s commercial projects across print, digital, books, experiential, and video. Coordinate photo, sales, production, clients, freelancers, photographers, and creative talent while managing usage rights, copyright, commissioning, picture research, and short-form video production. The role independently delivers high-quality visual content and requires strong communication, organisation, attention to detail, and collaboration.

Create and deliver commercial creative campaigns across print, digital, social media, and live experiences. Develop concepts, layouts, imagery, adaptations, and final artwork while maintaining brand standards and technical accuracy. Collaborate with commercial, editorial, photography, production, and project teams; manage multiple deadlines, respond to feedback, support creative proposals, and occasionally contribute to client conversations.

Own product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, requirements discovery, and stakeholder alignment for Monocle’s digital ecosystem, including subscriptions, radio, e-commerce, and editorial products. The role bridges technical and non-technical teams, coordinates agency partners, uses data-driven insights, and supports agile feature development, fixes, and automation while building stronger product processes.

Lead Monocle's global subscriber growth by owning acquisition, retention and renewal strategies. Plan campaigns across email, onsite and paid channels, optimise pricing and lifecycle journeys, analyse performance, and build the subscriber-growth team.

The Senior Designer will oversee the production of creative outputs for Monocle's flagship publications, ensuring high editorial and design quality while collaborating with stakeholders on various print projects.
