Own and improve Moneybox’s data platform, including scalable pipelines, integrations, analytical models, data quality, observability, reliability, performance, and security. Lead significant architecture changes, ingest new data sources, guide engineers and analysts, and collaborate with Engineering, Insight, Information Security, and Compliance. The role requires autonomous technical ownership, production troubleshooting, and clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Lead the independent compliance function for MBSCL, holding SMF16 and SMF17 responsibilities. Establish FCA-compliant monitoring, financial crime, CDD, and regulatory frameworks; oversee outsourced and intra-group arrangements; challenge advice-engine controls; advise on suitability and Consumer Duty; report to boards and committees; manage FCA relationships; and lead regulatory change and training.

Leads backend engineering delivery across multiple teams while remaining hands-on with production systems. Owns technical designs, roadmaps, operating models, and delivery dependencies; manages, coaches, and mentors engineers; and improves engineering standards and processes. The role requires designing, developing, releasing, and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant software and partnering on technical and commercial decisions.
