Teach twelve credits per semester, including first-year writing, creative writing across four genres, literature surveys, and courses aligned with the candidate’s background. Advise MSSU’s student literary journal, participate in the English department, and contribute to a collaborative, diverse academic community. Candidates must earn a Ph.D. or terminal degree in English or a related discipline before August 1, 2027. Employment requires a background check.

Creates and edits video, photography, audio, graphics, and motion content for university marketing, recruitment, fundraising, web, social media, advertising, and print. Covers campus events, manages digital media assets and production equipment, supports campaigns, collaborates across departments, and ensures compliance with brand, copyright, and accessibility standards. The role requires occasional nontraditional hours, physical equipment handling, and technical production expertise.

Directs university academic support services, including advising, tutoring, academic recovery, orientation, early alert, and special population programming. Develops policies, programs, assessment processes, communications, and budgets while supervising academic success coaches. Coordinates campus-wide advising, advisor training, student success initiatives, and technology systems. Maintains an advising caseload, provides success coaching, teaches when needed, supports academic appeals, and collaborates across university departments to improve student retention, progression, and graduation.

Maintains university broadcast facilities, transmitters, TV and radio equipment, streaming systems, scoreboards, video boards, and campus technology. Installs and troubleshoots network peripherals, security cameras, access points, telecommunications and coaxial cabling, wall-mounted displays, and related equipment. Provides technical support for athletic events, remote productions, network and broadcast outages, and campus technical issues. Reviews FCC regulations, supports equipment purchasing, and may work at heights or lift equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.

Responsible for incident response, risk management, disaster recovery, and security monitoring. Deploys and manages security systems, centralized logging, access controls, and forensic tools. Provides on-call incident containment, mentors staff, works with vendors, and helps develop business continuity and risk assessments.

Provide administrative and clerical support for Global Education and Communications: enter courses and faculty data in Banner, manage traveler paperwork and study abroad insurance, assist students and faculty with registrations, handle reception/mail/supplies, maintain databases for exchange partners, support events and outreach, and process departmental forms and expense reports.
