Teams at Missouri Historical Society

Paid, in-person internship supporting membership and donor engagement at a historical society. Tasks include member inquiries, CRM updates, mailings, donor thank-you calls, drafting e-newsletters, event support, tabling, and administrative duties to learn nonprofit membership operations and public engagement.

Develops and executes 2–4 public programs monthly for the African American History Initiative, collaborating with community organizations, scholars, artists, and internal museum teams. Manages logistics, budgets, contracts, outreach, and volunteer coordination; supports departmental initiatives, exhibits, and internal communications. Engages diverse audiences and ensures programs align with AAHI priorities and museum-wide goals.

Participate as part of a teen team to research St. Louis history, create digital and public-history projects, produce website and social media content, run interpretive programs, attend professional development and field trips, evaluate work, assist recruitment and related programs, and support other events.
