Performs diagnostic radiology services by following established procedures and physician orders, operating department equipment, and producing quality diagnostic data for radiologist interpretation. Works assigned shifts, including night call, weekends, holidays, and rotating coverage. Must be enrolled in an AMA-approved radiological technology program or qualify under the ARRT grandfather clause, with department equipment and procedure knowledge gained through on-the-job training.

Performs ultrasound and radiology procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients using ultrasound, ionizing radiation, and other imaging modalities. Supports disease diagnosis and treatment under the direction of the radiology director or lead technologist and in collaboration with radiologists. This PRN role is safety sensitive and requires completion of an approved radiology or ultrasound program, at least one year of experience, and specialty registration.

Perform diagnostic imaging by preparing and positioning patients, operating radiography equipment, and optimizing image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Communicate procedures to patients compassionately, follow physician instructions, and support accurate diagnosis. Work scheduled shifts (afternoon/evening or 12-hour rotations) and must know CT procedures.
