Leads the design, programming, documentation, debugging, validation, and startup of automated equipment controls systems. Mentors entry-level engineers, supports quoting, coordinates across departments, manages project scope and budgets, ensures specifications are met, and communicates machine changes and issues. Requires approximately 25% domestic and international travel.

Leads custom automation projects from kickoff through completion, coordinating customers, engineering, design, controls, fabrication, assembly, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables. Serves as the primary customer contact, resolves issues, communicates project status, supports business development, and maintains alignment across internal teams. The role is onsite in Holland, Michigan, with occasional domestic and international travel for customer installations and support.

Leads mechanical design and development of custom automated equipment from concept through installation and startup. Serves as technical project lead, mentors junior engineers, reviews designs, solves complex engineering problems, manages project scope and schedules, supports quoting, and collaborates with controls, manufacturing, purchasing, assembly, service, and customers to deliver reliable, cost-effective systems.
