Research and develop AI governance policies, advise on implementation details, brief government offices, provide feedback on legislation, network with AI policy stakeholders, and communicate MIRI’s positions to policymakers. The role combines policy research, writing, advocacy, external engagement, and collaboration on regulations and international coordination related to AI safety.

The Technical Governance Researcher will conduct research and writing on AI governance, policy, and safety, engaging with collaborators and policymakers to address existential risks from AI.
