Teams at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc.

Provides independent financial validation and analysis for project billing, forecasting, profitability, and controls. Reviews Deltek project setups, P&Ls, budgets, margins, staffing plans, contract structures, EAC/ETC, backlog, and percent-complete updates. Identifies financial risks, revenue leakage, billing exceptions, and margin issues, then recommends corrective actions. Partners with Project Finance, Project Managers, and Group Leaders to resolve exceptions, improve project performance, and maintain accurate documentation.

Leads project financial controls and governance, overseeing project setup, forecasting, financial reviews, invoice validation, profitability analysis, risk identification, and corrective actions. Manages the Controls team, establishes standards, challenges project assumptions, evaluates contract and staffing impacts, supports project leaders, and drives continuous improvement. The role requires extensive project finance or controls experience in a project-based professional services, engineering, or construction environment.

Oversee the full financial lifecycle of complex engineering and construction projects, including project setup, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, receivables, contract reviews, and closeout. Advise project leaders on profitability, risks, compliance, and corrective actions; prepare executive reports; mentor junior accountants; and improve accounting policies, ERP workflows, and governance processes.
