The Controller leads accounting operations, financial reporting, cash forecasting, close processes, audits, tax coordination, and compliance for a government contractor. The role oversees FAR, DFARS, CAS, GAAP, DCAA, and incurred cost requirements; administers Unanet; improves finance processes; and manages a Senior Accountant and Program Controller. The Controller partners with company leaders, provides financial analysis and commentary, maintains internal controls, supports automation and AI adoption, and mentors finance and non-finance staff.
