Midwestern Higher Education Compact

The Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) is an interstate nonprofit that unites leaders from 12 Midwestern states to strengthen postsecondary education, advance student success, and promote regional economic vitality. MHEC delivers research, negotiated contracts, convenings, and programs that generate cost savings, support workforce readiness, improve access and affordability, and help institutions and policymakers collaborate on shared higher‑education challenges.
