Lead and supervise the engineering team supporting product development, manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements. Oversee BOMs/ECNs, NPI, troubleshooting, Lean continuous improvement, compliance (AS9100/ISO/IPC/J-STD/ITAR), ERP documentation in Epicor, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and Program Management.

Prepare cost estimates and detailed analyses of materials, labor, and production requirements to support bids and customer retention. Use drawings/blueprints and manufacturing knowledge, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and maintain accurate records. Requires strong Excel, communication, organization, and attention to detail; aerospace/defense costing experience preferred.

Improve manufacturing processes for cable harness assemblies by designing equipment modifications and layouts, applying lean methods, supporting production, ensuring quality, managing projects, and communicating with customers and cross-functional teams.

Support engineering teams by developing process work instructions, evaluating manufacturing processes, initiating engineering change notices, applying lean principles, using CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office, and collaborating in cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and documentation.

Manage production operations at the Joplin facility: set production goals, maintain schedules and quality, optimize processes and layouts, lead and develop production staff, ensure safety and compliance with ITAR/EAR, and coordinate with cross-functional departments.

Provide technical quality guidance across production, engineering, and customer functions. Lead PPAP/APQP and First Article evaluations, run root-cause/corrective actions, perform trending and quality system assessments, and support continuous improvement, documentation, and supplier/customer compliance for production and product development.
