Teams at Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company

Conducts loss control surveys and risk assessments for commercial insurance accounts, identifying exposures and recommending safety and risk-improvement solutions. Builds relationships with underwriters, agents, and insureds; manages assignments; evaluates business operations using established tools; and supports underwriting decisions. Requires travel to customer locations, including construction and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays and physical navigation of varied environments.

Supports the Specialty Lines Underwriting team by learning specialty insurance practices, assisting with policy issuance accuracy, contributing to projects that improve service for insureds and agents, and supporting daily operations. The internship offers hands-on insurance experience, professional development, networking, and potential career growth.

Supports the Commercial Lines Underwriting team with commercial insurance policy formation, issuance accuracy, agency partnerships, and projects that improve service to insureds and agents. The intern will learn commercial insurance operations, assist with underwriting initiatives, manage multiple tasks, and participate in professional development activities. This is an onsite role at the Lansing, Michigan corporate office.
