Manages histology laboratory operations, including workflow, staffing, quality control, regulatory inspection readiness, budgeting, training, equipment maintenance, and performance improvement. Supervises histotechnologists and support staff performing tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, cryotomy, frozen sectioning, and specimen handling. Troubleshoots technical issues, supports compliance and patient safety, coordinates with pathologists and hospital staff, and mentors employees while ensuring departmental service, quality, and efficiency goals are met.

Coordinate and execute urology clinical trials: recruit and consent participants, perform clinical assessments and specimen collection, manage investigational product and study supplies, maintain EDC/CRFs, ensure GCP/FDA/HIPAA compliance, and support sponsor and monitor interactions.

Assist laboratory technicians by accessioning, labeling, ordering and processing specimens; perform clerical duties; follow CAP/CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA regulations; dispose hazardous waste; maintain patient confidentiality; use EMR and office software; participate in education and teamwork.
