Leads M&G’s Group Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment framework and provides second-line oversight of the financial crime risk and controls framework. Responsibilities include assessing AML, sanctions, fraud, bribery, tax evasion, and related risks; enhancing methodologies, governance, reporting, analytics, and controls; overseeing thematic reviews and remediation; and advising senior management and governance forums.

Supports quarterly Solvency II valuation analysis, solvency monitoring, regulatory and financial reporting, with-profits asset pool rebalancing, and process improvements. The role collaborates with Finance, Risk, and Actuarial teams, contributes to projects and regulatory submissions, and explains financial results to stakeholders. It includes structured support toward professional actuarial qualifications and development of insurance, balance sheet management, analytical, technical, and communication skills.

Leads second-line non-financial risk assurance across the Life business. Responsibilities include deep-dive and thematic reviews, root-cause analysis, control and remediation effectiveness assessments, risk insight development, governance reporting, senior stakeholder challenge, cross-functional coordination, and coaching analysts. The role identifies systemic weaknesses, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen risk management within a regulated financial services environment.
