Collaborate through GitHub using Agile practices, automated testing, quality assurance, documentation, and code reviews. Work may support Advanced Air Mobility and Air Traffic Management/Safety projects.

Develop JavaScript-based simulation web applications using React and Node.js. Build data-driven 2D/3D visualization components, backend integrations, dashboards, and reusable simulation modules. Collaborate with researchers, customers, DevOps teams, and system administrators to deliver scalable, secure frontends for aviation research, demonstrations, analytics, and operational use. Apply automated testing, CI/CD, cloud deployment, API integration, and software quality practices.

Develop and maintain scalable full-stack web applications for NASA’s Extensible Traffic Management Client. Build React-based user interfaces and JavaScript server-side applications, integrate REST APIs, implement automated testing, and support containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with designers and agile team members, conduct code reviews, practice continuous delivery, and deliver reliable, high-performance software for aerospace operations.

Provide software assurance, quality engineering, configuration management, risk assessment, testing, and process oversight for safety-critical NASA range systems. Conduct audits, code reviews, traceability, FMEA/FTA, hazard assessments, root cause investigations, and software acceptance activities. Support cybersecurity, accessibility compliance, configuration control, and operational transitions while mentoring staff and leading process improvements. The role is primarily on-site at NASA Wallops Flight Facility and requires eligibility for a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Develop backend services supporting NASA’s Extensible Traffic Management Client and integrated airspace management. Build enterprise applications using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, microservices, event-driven architectures, containers, message brokers, and authorization protocols. Participate in Agile development, code reviews, frequent deployments, and testing. The role requires collaboration, documentation, and reliable software development, with opportunities to work with cloud services, APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.

Provides engineering and analytical support for safety-critical FAA National Airspace System operations. Performs safety, risk, reliability, maintainability, availability, and failure analyses; develops mitigation strategies; maintains interfaces between administrative and operational NAS systems; ensures FAA regulatory compliance; and prepares technical documentation and recommendations for aviation safety improvements.

Leads mobile instrumentation deployments, remote site operations, technicians, mission readiness reviews, post-mission data analysis, risk tracking, and configuration control. The role supports sounding rockets, launch vehicles, UAS, balloons, and human spaceflight missions, requiring extensive travel and deployments to remote locations.

Provides senior-level IT and data integration services supporting FAA aviation safety. Responsibilities include planning, analysis, design, testing, administration, operations, and support for storage, servers, databases, websites, web applications, LAN systems, and user-support functions.

Designs, develops, and maintains real-time safety-critical or database-driven information systems within FAA domains. Builds data pipelines and secure, scalable databases; integrates data solutions into applications; ensures data quality, system performance, documentation, regulatory compliance, and security. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and troubleshoots data infrastructure and real-time system issues.

Develop and maintain high-fidelity, man-in-the-loop, real-time synchronous aircraft and spacecraft simulation software. Apply object-oriented design and C++ development under Linux and Windows, support simulation infrastructure and operations, and contribute to flight simulation software and hardware services. Develop and support modeling and simulation software for air traffic management research. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, automating, securing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable software infrastructure and applications. Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, system administrators, researchers, and other technical stakeholders to resolve complex operational issues and deliver high-quality code. The role requires strong algorithm design, data structures, data analysis, mathematics, and software engineering expertise, with aerospace or air traffic management experience preferred.

Designs, integrates, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots fixed-base and motion-base flight simulators and support systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing electromechanical, video, audio, network, electronics, fiber-optic, Linux, and Windows systems; directing hardware modifications; integrating hardware-in-the-loop components; developing wiring diagrams, lighting, and panel layouts; conducting maintenance and testing; documenting operations; and supporting off-shift simulation activities.
