Twelve-week hardware engineering internship focused on solving scoped technical problems across product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, supply chain, sustainability, and hardware lifecycle management. Interns may design and test electrical or mechanical prototypes, evaluate components and suppliers, analyze supply-chain data, develop installation tools, characterize thermal or acoustic performance, and present evidence-backed recommendations to the Hardware team.

Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, vendors, and customers at Meter’s San Francisco office. Responsibilities include guest check-in, mail and package handling, inventory management, office supply and snack ordering, order reconciliation, and coordination with other offices to maintain consistent workplace standards. The role also troubleshoots workplace issues, anticipates needs, communicates clearly, and continuously improves workplace operations.

Own supply execution for networking hardware across Taiwan manufacturing partners and suppliers. Reconcile BOMs, inventory, purchase orders, MRP data, capacity, and supplier commitments. Manage shortages, escalations, material exposure, factory schedules, and production priorities. Maintain accurate component and product pricebooks, validate quotes and purchase prices, and implement approved cost improvements. Coordinate with JDMs, sourcing, engineering, finance, suppliers, and US teams in Mandarin and English.
