Accounting Intern supporting general accounting, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial planning and analysis, and process improvement. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, invoice coding, payment application, financial reporting, and exploring AI applications in accounting workflows. The intern will gain exposure to the surety bond industry while developing analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Supports company-wide adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, builds workflows with Power Automate and Microsoft Forms, organizes OneDrive file systems, audits and cleans documents, and creates templates and documentation. Collaborates with IT and business users to improve processes, troubleshoot issues, and support the transition to a modern Microsoft environment.

Supports the summer internship program through engagement activities, HR initiative implementation, communications, training, recruitment strategy development, and program evaluation. Collaborates with HR professionals to analyze feedback, identify trends, improve processes, and use technology to increase efficiency. The intern also leads initiatives, contributes innovative ideas, and gains cross-departmental experience through projects, community service, and professional events.
