Supports patent attorneys with U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including preparing and electronically filing applications, amendments, disclosure statements, responses, assignments, and fee payments. Maintains patent files, client portfolios, docketing logs, and deadlines. Communicates with attorneys, clients, the USPTO, and foreign associates while managing detailed administrative tasks independently and accurately. The hybrid role requires at least three office days weekly.

Join Merchant & Goulds Chemical & Life Sciences group to prepare and prosecute small-molecule pharmaceutical patent applications and draft/assist with legal opinions. Candidate should have substantial patent prosecution experience, a chemistry undergraduate degree (PhD in organic chemistry preferred), and provide application materials including cover letter, resume, transcripts, and a writing sample.

Support IDS management and patent prosecution by preparing and filing IDS forms, tracking prior art, maintaining reference databases, submitting documents via USPTO systems, coordinating with attorneys and vendors, retrieving global patent documents, assisting with filings and billing, and creating patent drawings when assigned.
