Lead systems engineering for the Focalist medical-device platform, translating clinical and business needs into technical requirements and specifications. Responsibilities include cross-functional feature development, engineering studies, risk assessments, verification test methods, prototype integration and debugging, configuration management, FMEA and system hazard analysis, feature prioritization, and lifecycle KPI tracking. The role collaborates with product management and engineering teams to support commercialization.

Owns frontline technical support for robotic medical systems, including issue intake, remote and on-site troubleshooting, customer communication, escalation, and field service. Partners with Engineering on serviceability, reliability, root-cause investigations, CAPA, and product changes. Builds support workflows, knowledge bases, training, KPIs, and documentation. Maintains demo and service fleets, manages repairs, RMAs, spare parts, configuration control, and logistics. Requires hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting, Linux diagnostics, quality-system discipline, and up to 25% travel.

Lead and mentor infrastructure and web platform engineers while contributing hands-on to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, compliance, and internal web tools. Define technical direction, standardize Terraform across AWS environments, oversee SOC2 and HIPAA compliance, support manufacturing and service workflows, and improve security, observability, automation, scalability, and availability. Collaborate with engineering, clinical, product, hardware, and regulatory stakeholders.
