Processes donated merchandise by sorting, pricing, marking down, and preparing items for sale. Ensures merchandise flows efficiently to the sales floor, follows safety and recall procedures, maintains a clean processing area, meets production goals, and handles totes and merchandise safely. Requires basic math, customer and team interaction, regular attendance, evening and weekend availability, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. High school diploma or GED required.

Assists with daily bookstore operations, including opening and closing, customer service, cash handling, POS transactions, register audits, deposits, merchandise pricing, sales-floor rotation, statistical reporting, cleanliness, transportation coordination, and loss-prevention procedures. Supervises and supports cashiers, sales associates, production associates, and donor greeters while maintaining service, merchandising, safety, and operational standards.

Inspects donated goods and raw materials for quality and marketability, sorts items for store use, salvage, or disposal, and prepares merchandise for retail sale. Responsibilities include tagging items, hanging and placing goods on the sales floor, meeting daily textile productivity standards, and following Goodwill’s rotation and dress code policies.
