Performs radiographic (X‑ray) exams, prepares and positions patients, records vitals, administers IV contrast as needed, ensures image quality and radiation safety. Mentors staff, assists with scheduling and supervisory tasks, performs QA on equipment, handles supply management, may take call, float locations, and perform limited registration or specimen testing duties.

Implements and monitors infection prevention program across hospital and ambulatory settings. Conducts surveillance and NHSN reporting, provides education, recommends system/process changes, coordinates exposure follow-up, supports accreditation readiness, and communicates findings to clinical leaders while promoting patient safety and improvement initiatives.

Acts as senior technologist—preceptor and mentor—assisting with supervision, scheduling, supply management, equipment QA, and liaison with physicians. May take emergency call, perform registration tasks, breath alcohol/urine drug screens, and support infection control and accreditation processes.
