Leads healthcare legal affairs for Memorial Hermann, supervising in-house attorneys, outside counsel, risk managers, and policy teams. Advises executives and operational leaders on patient consent, behavioral health, licensing, accreditation, EMTALA, Medicare and Medicaid requirements, patient safety, quality of care, medical staff issues, complaints, and discharges. Oversees legal risk, regulatory compliance, clinical policies, outside counsel performance, strategic initiatives, and attorney development.
