Provides specialized direct nursing care to critically ill cardiothoracic patients while serving as the CVICU’s clinical resource. Coordinates nurse orientation, preceptorship, mentoring, competency validation, staff education, and simulation. Supports evidence-based practice, quality improvement, patient safety, clinical performance evaluation, new practice implementation, and interdisciplinary communication. Maintains advanced CVICU competence and assists nursing leadership with staff development and clinical performance concerns.

Provides front-desk and registration support for a cardiology department. Answers and routes calls, schedules appointments, registers patients, maintains accurate EHR records, verifies insurance eligibility, collects copays and payments, reconciles daily cash reports, and refers financial questions to counselors while maintaining confidentiality and supporting efficient medical practice operations.
