The Associate Manager oversees project finance and accounting from startup through closeout, including budgeting, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial forecasting, donor reporting, treasury transfers, audits, and compliance with GAAP and USG regulations. The role analyzes project costs and variances, supports strategic financial planning, develops procedures, trains staff, and communicates financial information to project leaders and management. This is a remote role without direct reports.

Lead end-to-end management of a portfolio of prime grants and contracts, ensuring award start-up, compliance with federal regulations, performance monitoring, reporting, amendments, and closeout. Oversee subaward administration and supervise Associate Manager. Drive process improvements, system implementations, risk assessments, and collaboration with program, finance, legal, and compliance teams.

Perform corporate accounting tasks including accounts payable processing (in-office for AP), journal entry posting, bank deposits, accounts receivable posting, account reconciliations, audit support, and backup support for other finance staff. Work in a hybrid team environment and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and communication.
