Leads bioprocess development and technical operations from early-stage microbial process development through pilot scale, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing readiness. Defines technical strategy, directs fermentation and downstream processing, oversees scale-up, process characterization, equipment selection, and manufacturing readiness. Builds multidisciplinary teams, allocates resources, resolves complex process challenges, and partners with Research, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and external manufacturing stakeholders.

Conducts protein research experiments, including agarose gel electrophoresis, bacterial culture growth, transformations, buffer and media preparation, and protein purification. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, documents experimental results, follows and updates SOPs, supports troubleshooting and process optimization, maintains laboratory organization, and assists with supply ordering and inventory management.

Leads biologics process development from fermentation and downstream processing through pilot and commercial scale-up. Oversees pilot facility buildout, equipment selection, process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, process improvements, deviations, CAPA, change control, technology transfer, and manufacturing support. Collaborates with research, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams while supervising and mentoring staff and supporting regulatory, safety, schedule, and cost objectives.

Conducts fermentation experiments and supports bioprocess development under scientist and engineer guidance. Responsibilities include preparing media, operating and monitoring bench-scale bioreactors, controlling process parameters, aseptic sampling, optimizing media and feeding strategies, maintaining equipment, analyzing fermentation data, supporting scale-up, and documenting results according to SOPs and safety procedures.

Provide administrative and executive support to leadership while managing office operations, onboarding, vendor relations, mail and shipping, basic IT and A/V troubleshooting, and company events. Maintain professional office aesthetics and handle ad-hoc projects to ensure smooth daily operations and strong workplace culture.
