Materion Benefits Overview

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders) to produce parts to blueprint tolerances. Read drawings, use precision measuring tools, maintain production records, report malfunctions, assist with maintenance, follow safety and QA procedures, and occasionally operate a forklift.

Serves as the primary customer contact for order management, inquiries, quotations, pricing, delivery updates, documentation, and issue resolution. Processes orders, invoices, certifications, export paperwork, and customer records while coordinating with account management, manufacturing, planning, shipping, quality, legal, and compliance teams. Supports new business development, customer meetings, KPI performance, SAP changes, and inventory activities. Requires manufacturing customer support experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with SAP, CRM, and office software.

Leads and supports technology, product, and process development projects for advanced optical coatings. Responsibilities include developing technologies, supporting product launches, creating SOPs and process documentation, conducting cost analysis, collaborating with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing, supporting customers, and leading smaller technical projects. Requires engineering or physics education, 7+ years of experience, Python data-analysis skills, and optics expertise.
