Responsibilities include performing internal, expense, revenue, royalty, and net profit share audits; analyzing contracts, data, and accounting information; preparing workpapers, emails, memos, requests, and reports; applying audit documentation standards; and assisting audit teams. The intern develops expertise in COPAS guidelines, oil and gas operations, terminology, and contractual accounting requirements while contributing to client service and project completion.

Performs complex corporate accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, month-end and year-end close activities, tax and audit support, and GAAP research. Reviews staff work, mentors team members, improves accounting system integrations, and partners with executive leadership. Builds a QuickBooks-focused business division by designing client onboarding frameworks, managing migrations, tracking project costs, preparing estimates, training staff, and supporting client-facing growth and professional networking.
