Nurse Externs gain supervised clinical experience while supporting patient care and working alongside Registered Nurses. Responsibilities include routine clinical tasks appropriate to training, patient and staff interaction, and potential RN shadowing. Extern I students rotate across multiple hospital units, while Extern II students in their final program year receive unit-based placements and perform skills under supervision.

Supports ADP and other HRIS platforms, processes employee changes, troubleshoots user issues, maintains HR data and system configurations, develops reports, manages compliance reporting, supports recruiting and electronic I-9 systems, provides end-user training, and assists with implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.

Performs radiographic procedures and CT scans, evaluates image quality, prepares and educates patients, coordinates scheduling and transportation, maintains equipment and supplies, follows safety and infection-control policies, takes scheduled call, and participates in quality-improvement activities. Requires completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registry eligibility, and West Virginia licensure.
