Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle low-to-moderate exposure insurance claims by reviewing policies and documentation, determining coverage and liability, setting reserves, coordinating investigations, preparing reports, identifying subrogation or fraud, and communicating coverage positions to achieve timely, cost-effective claim resolution.

Supervise claims processing and adjusting staff, monitor performance, coordinate workflow, interpret insurance coverage, resolve escalated complaints, and support claim settlements. The role also assists with audits, service benchmarks, process improvements, staff hiring and development, training, account conversions, and product development. A P&C Adjuster License and state licensing eligibility are required.

Handles moderate to complex personal marine bodily injury claims from coverage review through liability, damages, negotiation, mediation, litigation, and settlement. Reviews policies and evidence, investigates losses, evaluates exposure, sets reserves, manages vendors and counsel, identifies subrogation opportunities, and ensures timely service and compliance with service levels. The role also presents high-exposure cases, supports underwriters and stakeholders, mentors colleagues, delivers technical training, and travels to mediations, trials, and conferences as needed.
