Performs professional accounting and auditing functions while coordinating employee travel arrangements, bookings, per diem processing, and travel files. May supervise staff, coordinate resources, recommend process improvements, and act as a liaison between the Sheriff’s Office Finance Bureau and county departments.

Classifies inmates by custody and housing needs, conducts interviews and PREA questionnaires, researches criminal and court histories, and manages restrictive housing reviews. The role coordinates with medical and mental health staff, provides risk-avoidance and jail-procedure counseling, maintains classification records, supports policy compliance, and trains new employees. Work occurs in a secure 24/7 jail environment with rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and exposure to potentially dangerous conditions.
