Supervise pilot plant technicians supporting mineral refining process operations, equipment installation, troubleshooting, data capture, and plant software use. Lead scheduling, training, hiring, and performance reviews while maintaining chemical safety, EHS compliance, procedures, records, cleanliness, and operational readiness. Collaborate with engineers and R&D scientists, provide off-hours upset support, and help bridge pilot-scale development with commercial production requirements.

Leads and manages ML engineers working across computer vision, robotics, agentic workflows, and ML platform infrastructure. Owns technical direction, hiring, team development, roadmap commitments, production deployment, monitoring, incident response, reliability, and cross-functional collaboration with product and software engineering teams. This player-coach role requires hands-on oversight of production ML systems, platform architecture, evaluation, safety, and operational quality.

Own applied statistical analysis for mineral processing operations, including experimental design, metric definitions, uncertainty quantification, process control, forecasting, reporting, and dashboards. Analyze messy sensor, assay, laboratory, and plant data to support production, cost, supplier, and capacity decisions. Partner with data platform teams, improve analytical rigor across the company, and communicate findings clearly to operators, engineers, and executives.
