Maintain and improve Mapbox developer documentation through code updates, content corrections, code sample revisions, and product synchronization. Triage user feedback, manage GitHub contributions and reviews, use Mapbox products to create accurate documentation, and partner with product teams on launches. The role also involves prototyping lightweight documentation tools and supporting Developer Relations initiatives. Candidates should be web developers who write clearly and have 2–4 years of professional experience.

The role involves making cartographic edits in OpenStreetMap and enriching map data, analyzing large volumes of data, and validating/map content creation.

Lead development of high-volume, low-latency Maps API services and distributed ETL pipelines. Design scalable systems, make architectural decisions, build and deploy microservices, diagnose complex production behavior, and promote operational excellence through testing, monitoring, documentation, and on-call support. Mentor engineers, facilitate design and code reviews, reduce technical debt, improve performance, and deliver reliable mapping tools for global customers.
