The Perioperative Assistant supports patient care in the ASC by maintaining sterile fields, preparing operating rooms, assisting with patient positioning, and managing equipment during ophthalmic surgeries, while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Perform ophthalmic screenings and diagnostics (OCT, HVF, tonometry, refraction, lensometry), assist with procedures and patient education, manage contact lens fittings/orders and vendor communications, maintain accurate EMR documentation, and provide cross-coverage and training as needed.

Assist perioperative team in an ambulatory surgical center by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, gathering and stocking supplies, positioning patients, returning instruments to decontamination, and maintaining documentation and inventory. Work Monday–Thursday with occasional schedule flexibility to support patient care and quality standards.
