Provides educational leadership and specialized instruction support for middle and high school students with special needs. Responsibilities include coordinating special education integration, curriculum development, program evaluation, IEP-related processes, staff development, student records, specialized materials, family and community engagement, and compliance with educational policies and legal requirements. The role also supports school improvement initiatives, interviews special education instructional candidates, and communicates current research and best practices to school staff and stakeholders.

Supports special education teachers and students with disabilities through instructional assistance, personal care, mobility support, behavior management, crisis intervention, classroom organization, and supervision. Helps implement individualized educational and behavioral programs while maintaining student confidentiality and safety. The role may require lifting, transferring, positioning, assisting with hygiene and feeding, and completing specialized behavioral intervention training.

Plans and oversees middle and high school athletic programs, including coaches, schedules, facilities, transportation, officials, equipment, budgets, compliance, student eligibility, and parent communication. Also coordinates discipline procedures and PBIS implementation, monitors student behavior and attendance, supports MTSS strategies, manages reflection-room activities, tracks behavioral data, and collaborates with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community members to promote safety, academic success, and positive social-emotional development.
