Supports U.S. AI policy development by tracking federal and state regulation, drafting briefings and public comments, translating technical verification capabilities for policymakers, preparing stakeholder meetings, and maintaining engagement systems. The role bridges technical research and Washington policy audiences, develops reusable materials, tracks legislation and external outcomes, and assists with grants and events. Candidates need early-career AI or technology policy experience, strong accessible writing, technical accuracy, and comfort creating structure in an evolving environment.

Lead Lucid’s AI compute verification research agenda, prioritize verification claims, and manage researchers across hardware security, cryptography, networking, and ML systems. Direct experiments and adversarial red-team cycles on the RISE H100 GPU testbed, establish rigorous success criteria, publish results including negative findings, translate policy and customer needs into testable claims, and represent the company through papers, talks, and academic partnerships.

Lead U.S. policy strategy for frontier AI verification, advise policymakers and governance stakeholders, translate regulatory proposals into verifiable technical claims, and guide research and red-team priorities. Build relationships across government, think tanks, standards bodies, and international counterparts; produce briefings, testimony, public comments, and explainers; track AI regulation and compute-agreement proposals; and establish Lucid’s growing policy function.
