Provides non-clinical support to nursing services and residents in a care facility. Duties include making beds, answering call lights, delivering meals, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with laundry, encouraging activities, documenting information, and reporting safety or health concerns. The role requires compassion, reliability, clear communication, patience, and the ability to follow care, dietary, and safety procedures.

Lead nursing shift care by directing nurse aides, administering medications, implementing care plans and treatments, transcribing physician orders, documenting resident care, participating in shift reports, educating staff on policies, maintaining infection-control and safety standards, and arranging replacement staff when needed.
