Manages the Smithers Parents Legal Centre, providing family and child protection legal services while supervising lawyers, paralegals, and intake staff. Responsibilities include case representation, office operations, budgeting, staff development, compliance, strategic planning, community partnerships, Indigenous outreach, public legal education, workshops, and program management. The role maintains an active senior legal caseload and requires travel throughout British Columbia.

Provides legal advice, representation, duty counsel, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy across family and child protection matters. Screens and supports clients affected by family violence, manages caseloads, supervises support staff, and collaborates with community advocates, Indigenous communities, private lawyers, and justice participants. The role also contributes to law reform, policy development, community partnerships, and regional service initiatives while maintaining required records and reports.

Provides administrative and operational HR support across recruitment, HRIS administration, payroll and benefits coordination, leave management, employee development, labour relations, workforce planning, compliance, and reporting. Maintains confidential personnel records, prepares HR and staffing reports, coordinates wellness and recognition programs, supports unionized employment processes, administers job postings and onboarding, and assists with health and safety and human rights documentation.
