Support and improve infrastructure for open-source silicon projects, including on-premises Kubernetes, zero-trust networking, CI/CD runners, FPGA testing, NixOS servers, Google Cloud resources, and Python tooling. The role involves troubleshooting, monitoring, infrastructure automation, documentation, and collaboration across hardware, software, security, and open-source teams.

Manage complex silicon subsystem and chip design projects from planning through delivery. Coordinate digital design, verification, embedded software, semiconductor partners, and academic collaborators. Responsibilities include project planning, scope and risk management, Statements of Work, technical change control, and grant-funded project compliance. The role requires strong technical understanding of embedded systems, FPGA development, silicon design, and firmware, alongside cross-functional facilitation and relationship management.

The Expert Rust Engineer will develop firmware, security tools, and software for semiconductor projects, with a focus on Rust programming and collaboration on large-scale systems.
