Teams at Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI)

Provide overnight shelter supervision: assist with intake/exit paperwork, monitor safety and guest policy, maintain cleanliness and perform light maintenance, complete incident reports, handle donations, respond to emergencies, and report operational issues to the Shelter Operations Manager.

The Controller oversees financial and compliance functions, preparing reports, managing cash flow, and ensuring regulatory compliance for affordable housing properties. Responsibilities include managing accounting operations, audits, budgets, and internal controls, while mentoring staff and providing financial support for property management.

Manages operations across multiple enhanced shelters, supervises staff and shelter managers, ensures participant safety, coordinates vendors and community partners, maintains rosters and supplies, handles intake and incidents, documents operational issues, responds to emergencies, and supports compliance, training, and program policies.
