Teams at Lorain Public Library System

Assists the Branch Manager with library branch operations, employee supervision, scheduling, training, budgeting, vendor management, programming, facilities oversight, records management, reference services, and complaint resolution. The role monitors operations, coordinates staff and public service desks, manages IT tickets through CLEVNET, supports events, and may oversee branch locations. Frequent local travel, occasional overnight travel, evening and weekend work, background checks, and drug screening are required.

Provides paraprofessional public library services, including circulation, basic information assistance, technology troubleshooting, customer service, program support, materials processing, catalog maintenance, and service promotion. Handles complaints, clerical tasks, staff training assistance, displays, and occasional community events. May serve as a certified passport agent. Part-time schedule may include evenings, weekends, split shifts, and six-day workweeks.
