The role requires reliable attendance, flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime, along with compliance with regulatory licensing requirements.

Assists the Head Starter with training and race-day operations by handling thoroughbred horses, loading them into starting gates, recording behavior marks, schooling horses, reporting issues, and maintaining gate equipment. The role requires horse-handling expertise, physical strength, regulatory licensing, and the ability to work outdoors around horses and machinery.
